Monthly Social Gathering
Bada Bing – Bada Boom – Bada Bing!!!
Our first SpringDucks Club 'Monthly Social' just took place on Friday June 10th, and what a HUGE success it was! You’ll never know just how happy this President is. Things are really coming together way beyond my expectations! Warren and Tracey (once again) went way beyond the call of duty and hosted a fantastic event, we just had an outright blast!
So picture this: me really, really cranky on Friday night heading towards Cornelius Pass Roadhouse off Hwy 26, and making the good Lord blush as he reads my thoughts regarding the traffic (I have since begged forgiveness). Wow, was I pleasantly surprised when I got there! Wonderful outdoor dining atmosphere, great food, family friendly, really lovely grounds, terrific staff. I can’t wait until next month! What a great way to start a weekend! It was worth every second on Hwy 26. We all loved it so much that we’re talking to the marketing/sales department at McMenamins, and getting them to permanently reserve four tables for us on the lawn (but still nestled among the trees) for the rest of the summer. So please join us the next time (second Friday of each month)

Summer Camping Trip Social
Not only did we have a great monthly social, but we also got 'The Two Steves' to host the summer camping trip!
Steve Scullion and
Steve Rautenbach have taken on the task. You’ll find all the information on the website here, including reservation, payment and contact info. We currently have a group sites reserved for August 26th and 27th, in Cannon Beach. Sea Ranch RV and Tent Resort is with in walking distance to the beach and town. Please, please, please make your reservations and payments ASAP, sites fill up fast in August and we may not be able to reserve more sites unless we move fast!
Winter get-together
But wait, there’s more! Also out of our monthly social came another volunteer for our Winter Event. Mr. Bert Swanepoel has offered up his farm, barn and BBQ pit, to host a winter Braai complete with roasted lamb on a spit! I believe Bobby Keet has volunteered to be Mr. Swanepoel’s partner in crime for this event. We don’t quite have a date yet (possibly March, 2006), but we’ll be sure to keep you posted on the website!
Regards,
Nina
